The desire to create a painting is an emotional response to a particular
moment in your life. It could be travel, or romance. It could be
a dream or the death of someone dear to your heart. Emotional responses
are triggered by all manner of human experience.
The desire to purchase a painting is also prompted by an emotional
response, but as soon as the decision to buy has been made, the original
desire to purchase becomes a business transaction.
It is then that good business process will complete a satisfying
interaction between artist and client and it is with this happy outcome
in mind that I work closely with V max Marketing and Management, both
in Australia and New Zealand, with the implementation of my business
process.
This web site has been created as my catalogue for you to peruse the
various sailing and motor sport paintings that I have completed recently
and some not so recently.
I am involved in commissioned work, both private and corporate, but
make time to paint a favourite subject when I have one of those emotional
moments I mentioned earlier. These ‘moments’ occur as I
read some history of a past sailing or motor racing event, or they
may be triggered by a current event. The America’s Cup is a great
source of many of these moments as is the Australian V8 Super Car Championship
series!
Images of many of my paintings are available on limited edition ‘Giclee’ prints.
